Colwall Greener

We are a non-political party who want to bring as people together who are interested in what they can do to help locally or individually to move towards a greener future for our country.

Colwall Churchyard Champions

First Saturday of the month 10-12am. The Churchyard Champions help maintain the community asset that is our churchyard. With a brilliant eco vision, they bring new life to the space. Contact: colwallchurch@outlook.com

Colwall Orchard Group

COG exists to connect people with nature through creating and maintaining traditional orchards with wildflower meadows, healthy hedges and ponds. We do this by the holistic management of local orchards to increase biodiversity through our weekly Friday working parties and regular social events.

Colwall Allotments

Our allotments are located at Colwall Village Garden on Old Church Road. Visitors are welcome to walk around the allotments and take a look. There are over 60 plots in a variety of sizes, which are gardened on organic principles.

Colwall Food Bank

If you are suffering from financial hardship and finding it difficult to provide food for yourself, your family or dependents we are here to help. Colwall Community Church (opposite Cafe Morso) is open on Tuesdays 2-4pm. Please come along for a hot drink, chat and information on how to get food.

Colwall Village Society

There are records of farming going back to the Domesday. Colwall Village will have a display of pictures and maps of how farming has changed over the centuries.

Colwall Wings

Colwall Wings has monthly meetings, outings and events, fun socials, and special interest groups. The interest groups include a walking group on Monday and Thursday mornings and a plot at the Colwall Allotments. Super to be a part of the national WI, brilliant to be a part of our local community.

Catherine Barr Books

I studied ecology before working with Greenpeace for many years on wildlife issues, focusing on sea turtles and other endangered species. I wrote my first book The Story of Life on evolution after searching in vain for the story (rather than a text book) of evolution for my two girls, then at primary school. I have written over 35 true stories about nature to share with children and grown-ups.

Cradley Wild

Cradley Wild's aim is to help nature in and around the village. We do this by holding talks and events, and running campaigns with a wildlife-focus that actively involve local residents

Farr's Field Orchard

Farr’s Field Orchard, four acres of apple and pear trees near Bishop’s Frome, is now one of the few remaining small commercial top fruit orchards in Herefordshire. Run by the Pearce family, all fruit is hand-picked and hand sorted, so only the best go for juicing.

The Fold Granary

At New House Farm we’re committed to stewarding this beautiful land and its nature in a way that leaves it biodiverse and in good heart for future generations, be they human or more than human.
Our mission is to organically produce a range of healthy seeds, grains, and pulses, helping to create and be part of a local and regional food system. We focus on organic, regenerative, plant-based production of healthy, clean food for human consumption while developing the biodiversity and nature density of the farm.

Hanleys Environment Group

Herefordshire Food Alliance

The Herefordshire Food Alliance are a broad network involved in local, community and sustainable food action. We are working towards a thriving and sustainable local food economy which contributes to a healthy lifestyle, healthy communities and a healthy environment.

Herefordshire Green Network

The Herefordshire Green Network is a not for profit organisation that brings together local groups and individuals who are committed to a thriving Herefordshire and are working together to address the climate and ecological crises. HGN supports local projects, hosts regular events, provides free training and resources for our members, and lobbies for change. Our weekly newsletter has a readership of over 1000 people and our groups reach many more people across the county.

Herefordshire Nature Recovery Strategy

The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS), adopted by Herefordshire Council in August 2026, identifies locations to create or improve habitats where they will deliver the greatest benefit to nature and the wider environment. Herefordshire Wildlife Trust

Herefordshire Wildlife Trust is the largest membership- based wildlife organisation in the county, dedicated to inspiring people about wildlife acting as a wildlife champion and creating wildlife havens.

Hodmedod's

Hodmedod imagines a better food system of connected and resilient communities spanning good farming, fair trading and enjoyable wholesome eating. We now produce over 100 minimally processed wholefoods – all from diverse crops, grown in ways that are better for soil, climate and communities.

Little Marcle Organic Produce

26 acres of healthy organic soil, untouched by chemicals for over 35 years. At Little Marcle, we grow all manner of vegetables using an agroecological approach that works with nature, giving it space to thrive and survive among the crops.

Malvern Hills National Landscape

The Malvern Hills National Landscape works with farmers in "Farming in Protected Landscape" Projects. The National Landscapes have also produced Nature Recovery plans that contribute to halting biodiversity loss and support more and better places for nature to thrive.

Peter Cooks Bread

We support slow food, gut health, informed food choices, low food miles, environmental considerations, and thoroughly support our local community by employing locals with a passion for real bread. Every loaf that comes out of our oven is made slowly by hand, using just four ingredients - ﬂour, water, yeast (mostly wild) and salt. Flavour is developed naturally over three days. This long fermentation breaks down gluten, but more importantly releases the nutrients in the grain.

Planton Farm

Set among 80 acres of ancient trees and rolling pastureland, Planton is a working regenerative farm, providing a blueprint for a different future for agriculture.

Say it with Wood

All our products are made from sustainably harvested, naturally durable local timber. All of which is felled by our forestry team as part of sustainable woodland management.

Severn Treescapes

Severn Treescapes is a Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Wildlife Trusts’ project which demonstrates that increasing woodland connectivity at a regional scale, whether through woodlands, hedgerows, orchards, agroforestry and other tree systems, can work alongside productive agricultural systems.

Tools for Self Reliance

We are a charity creating brighter working futures by supporting people in Africa to learn a trade and earn a living, while providing volunteering opportunities and practical projects here in the UK.

Kat Turnbull

Kat will be in the school hall with some cheap sprouting kits and instructions for sale/donation. She will then give a talk in the Jean Simon's room on Agroforaging at 14:15.

Two Beacons Vineyard

At Two Beacons Vineyard, it’s in our nature to create wines that reflect the spirit of the Malvern Hills. As a family-owned vineyard, we believe in working with the land, respecting its natural rhythms, and producing wines that are as authentic as the place we call home. Our focus is on sustainable practices, preserving the environment for future generations, and sharing the simple pleasure of great wine with others.

Welland Biodiversity and Environment Volunteers

We aim to bring together local people who have an interest in caring for the environment. The group shares information about local events and volunteering opportunities in Welland and the surrounding villages that relate to biodiversity/environmental enhancement. This involves opportunities such as hedge or bulb planting, and information about things you can do at home.

Wiggly Wrigglers

(Bokashi Composting - Display only)
Traditional composting is aerobic. It needs oxygen, balance, turning, time, and the right mix of materials. When it goes wrong, it smells, stalls, or collapses into sludge. The bokashi method does something different. It uses anaerobic fermentation, driven by naturally occurring beneficial microbes. These microbes rapidly ferment food waste rather than letting it rot.

Wyescapes Landscape Recovery

Wyescapes is a long-term, landscape recovery project along river corridors of the Wye and Lugg in Herefordshire. 49 farmers and land managers collaborating across 5012 hectares, with plans to restore habitats, recover nature, naturally reduce flood and drought impacts and improve river health, whilst sustainably producing food on more climate-resilient farms.

Young Farmers' Clubs

We are one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK dedicated to young people who have a love for agriculture and rural life.
Led by young people, for young people, our Young Farmers' Clubs provide their 23,000 members aged 10 to 28 with a unique opportunity to develop skills, work with their local communities, travel abroad, take part in a varied competitions programme and enjoy a dynamic social life.

A representative from one of our local Young Farmers clubs will join the 3pm panel discussion in the school hall bringing the youth voice to our discussion about the future of farming.

XR Malvern

(In the Primary School)
XR Malvern are a friendly local group of people who are active in Extinction Rebellion. We are all extremely concerned about the rapidly deteriorating climate and the breakdown of the natural world. We have a vision of a much better world, with a culture of respect, nonviolence and care for all life.
We will be running block printing sessions where you can print an image onto a patch, which you can sew onto a bag or item of clothing, or make into a flag. You can print directly onto clothing items if you bring them with you.
