Grants for Householders

"Building Sense" and "Future Ready Homes" are initiatives from Herefordshire Green Network (HGN) to bring together people, information and professional expertise to help with the challenge of making homes (and workplaces) comfortable year-round in the face of high heating bills and the need to cut carbon emissions.
They have a Youtube channel with an extensive list of talks on insulating your house and other topics.

Keep Herefordshire Warm is delivered by Yes Energy Solutions and gives telephone/email advice on how to keep your house warm and what grants are available.

Home Upgrade Grant is run by Herefordshire Council in conjunction with Severn Wye. It is for Herefordshire residents who don't have mains gas heating, have a household income under £36,000 (regardless of savings) and have an Energy Performance Certificate of D or below.

Home Energy Savers is delivered by Yes Energy Solutions for Herefordshire Council. You can get a free home energy assessment if you have a household income over £36,000, are a owner occupier (plus some other conditions).

Connected for Warmth offers fully-funded cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to homeowners and privately rented properties. Homes must be in Council Tax Bands A, B, C or D and have an EPC rating of C or below.

Great British Insulation Scheme is a national scheme which offers fully-funded wall and loft insulation to homeowners and rented properties. Homes must be in Council Tax Bands A, B, C or D and have an EPC rating of D or below or receive a means tested benefit.

ECO4 Scheme is a national scheme where eligibility varies by local authority. The grants are aimed at low income, fuel poor and vulnerable households with inefficient heating. The grants covers heating source, insulation and solar PV. It is available for home owners, landlords or renters.

Grants for Businesses and Community Buildings

Severn Wye Energy Agency is providing FREE energy efficiency surveys and support to eligible SMEs in Herefordshire.

The Marches Energy Grant offers free advice, energy assessments and grants for energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to SMEs from all sectors in Herefordshire. The funding is also available to support community buildings.

Younity is a joint venture between Octopus Energy and Midcounties Co-operative, set up solely to support the community energy sector. They buy power from community-owned renewable energy projects , as well as offer short-term finance for construction costs and grants for groups to develop their plans.
