Don't put something broken away in landfill until you have found out whether it can be repaired
Arrange to repair broken items at Ledbury Repair Cafe or Malvern Transition Repair Cafe
If you no longer use something, find some-one else who can make use of it. Sell it on Ebay, give it to a Charity shop or donate to one of the following organisations.
Malvern Hills For Self Reliance was set up in 2016 with the aim of collecting unwanted tools and working with the charity, Tools For Self Reliance, to put them in the hands of trained craftsmen and women in five developing countries in Africa. We are a group of volunteers - 8 at present - who meet weekly in our local workshop and we sort, clean and refurbish a wide variety of tools. We welcome donations of tools for woodworkers, mechanics, blacksmiths, electricians and builders. We also need quality sewing machines and even garden tools.
Please contact Martin on 01684 540491 if you have any donations to offer
If you have an item that you no longer need and it is not suitable for a charity shop, then try Freegle. Freegle is a UK organisation that aims to increase reuse and reduce landfill by offering a free Internet-based service where people can give away and ask for things that would otherwise be thrown away.
